Charity Auction Gala Event

Victoria, BC - November 6th, 2003 the Falcon Community Involvement Program and the Children's Heart Network co-hosted their very first Charity Auction Gala Event, located at the Harbour Towers West Harbour Ballroom. The evening was a complete success, thanks to the many volunteers, sponsors and guests that graciously donated in the spirit of community.
Ticket sales along with the live & silent auction helped to raise over $10,000 for the Children's Heart Network. Celebrity guests Veronica Cooper and Meribeth Burton from CH Television hosted the event with special guest auctioneer Howie Seigel and musical entertainment provided by The Morry Stearns Jazz Trio.
"The evening was a complete success, everyone had a great time and we managed to raise funds well beyond our expectations", says Gary Eisenstein, of the FCIP Group. "We only had 90 days to pull the whole event off and if it wasn't for the wonderful sponsors and volunteers, it simply wouldn't' have happened!"

Letter From Children's Heart Network
"As Secretary for the Board of the Children's Heart Network, and as the Child Life Specialist for Cardiac Sciences at BC's Children's Hospital, I would like to take a moment to thank you, and your team at Falcon-Software including Elizabeth Fox, Jason Harrison-Edge and Gary Eisenstein for all you have done for our patients and their families.
The website you have created for us will be so helpful in linking families, especially those outside the lower mainland. Because I work directly with youth, and have special concerns regarding how they cope with heart disease, I am especially excited about the possibilities that might emerge for them through this new medium. In the past it has been difficult to explain our youth program to prospective members over the phone and through mailouts. We haven't been able to share pictures between the youth, and you probably know how important it is to them to know what everyone looks like! We are sure that the youth page and info will stimulate a lot of interest among the kids.
I would also like to say that I think the memorials page is a wonderful idea, and I hope that many of the families we have worked with in the past will take advantage of this opportunity to share their memories, Their feelings and their grief with others who care.
Thanks again for all you have done for our and for other nonprofit organizations in BC. Your are really making a huge difference to a very big community!"
