Falcon-Software; a prominent presence at this years VIATeC awards ceremony.

Falcon-Software Company is proud to announce being chosen as a finalist in three different categories for the 2006 VIATeC Technology Awards and winning the Website/Online Strategy of the Year award. “Winning Website of the Year was such a wonderful honor for us in more ways than one” says Gary Eisenstein, Falcon’s CEO. “Not only for the recognition amongst our peers in the hi-tech community, but also for the fact that we all shared such great pride in the Mozlink project”. “I’m so very proud of the job Elizabeth Fox and her crew did and the impact this website will have on the Northern Mozambique economy”, states Gary Eisenstein.

Falcon seems to be on a roll, winning four out of eight VIATeC awards over the last three years. The annual VIATeC awards evening captures the enthusiasm, energy and innovation that characterizes Vancouver Island’s technology entrepreneurs and business people. It’s a unique event for everyone in the community to showcase their accomplishments while building a profile and increasing credibility within BC’s fastest-growing technology region.

• Falcon-Software was a finalist for Employee/Team of the Year
  This award recognizes an individual or team in the technology sector that demonstrates outstanding initiative and service delivery, and has had a significant impact on the company for which they work. Jason Harrison-Edge, Falcon’s Creative Director was selected as a finalist for Employee of the Year. Jason has been with the company for 7-years and is the driving force behind Falcon’s artistic designs and award winning websites.
  
• Falcon-Software is the winner for Website/Online Strategy of the Year
  This award recognises the best website designed by or for a Vancouver Island organization. The judges considered artistic design, usability, appropriate use of technology and the underlying communication strategy. Falcon’s Mozlink Northern Mozambique website entry won for Website/Online Strategy of the Year. The Northern Mozambique website, was developed as key in the strategy to promote Northern Mozambique as an emerging world-class travel and tourism destination.
• Falcon-Software was a finalist for Community Involvement of the Year
  This award recognises an individual or organisation that has demonstrated its commitment to Vancouver Island communities through philanthropic support and participation. Once again, Falcon was selected as a finalist for Community Involvement of the Year. Winners of the award in 2004, Falcon’s charitable arm FCIP Group seems to be cultivating a strong presence within the Islands tech community.
