A component of your home page design should include keywords within hyperlinks. Search engine spiders will notice these keywords and result in an increase in rating.
Here are two ways to incorporate this technique into your home page:
1. Provide links to main sections of your Product Catalog. Using search term links to pages of the website with content relevant to those keywords helps increase the rankings of those search terms. This technique also provides customers with quick access to different areas of your catalog upon reaching your site.
2. Include links in the footer to the main sections of your website. Footer navigation is often included as a supportive navgation with links to sections of the site that are less frequently visited. Don't bypass this area; it provides a way to link to other sections of the website, providing your customers with increased navigational tools and the spiders with ways to crawl your site.
